Kaliah & Asara Books & Perspectives Ltd. is a small family-owned business. Our company's main products are our children's books in the Growing Up With Kaliah & Asara series - a series which centres our family's real life experiences and brings awareness to social issues.

Tanika J. Baker is the storyteller of our family. She captures the moments and shares our authentic stories through the lenses of our main characters Kaliah and Asara, with life-like illustrations from trusted friend, Wade Williams.

Together with her family and with the support of parents and friends,and through the publishing assistance of Tellwell Talent, in July 2020,Tanika J. Baker published our first children's book, " Mommy, Is My Hair Nice ?".

The book debuted on Amazon as a hot new release, and a number one bestseller in children's books on Tolerance and Multiculturalism - ranking among the top 100 books in this category for several months. In March 2022, "Kaliah's Club" and "Let's Go Ice Skating!" were published.

In 2021, Mommy, Is My Hair Nice, was approved by the Brampton Library to be part of the 2022-23 Local Authors Showcase in Brampton, Ontario.

Our author spends time as a community resource, providing read-aloud sessions to schools in her community in Ontario, Canada and participating in local bookfairs.
